Client Profile:
Medium sized Multi-location Independent Operator
Present Technology:
Single Line Phones / Key Systems / Small PBX
Operational Considerations
Current Technology Challenges and Problems:
  • Callers complain of busy signals nights and weekends. (blockage)
  • A variety of technologies are in use.  Telephone company voicemail where available, single line answering machines for smaller locations with fewer screens and call announcement hardware for larger locations.
  • Desire to provide more detail to callers without losing attention with long messages of information they need to sift through.
  • Many telephone lines are subscribed each month for call announcement, office and fax purposes.  While each serves an important function and line sharing is impractical, the reality is the majority, if not all, of these numbers sit idle and unused the majority of the time.
  • Monthly phone bill is $49.24 for single line service(1) with voicemail before any 911 charges, taxes or long distance.
  • Locations currently have or could benefit from broadband (high-speed) internet service, however, the monthly cost associated with an account make it simply unaffordable for simple email and web browsing purposes.
Proposed Technology Provides:
  • Multiple simultaneous call handling eliminates blockage.
  • Call handling capabilies are purchased by needed trunks.  Multiple telephone numbers can use the same trunks and still route to appropriate extensions, equipment and offices in multiple locations.
  • Announcements and call handling scheduled by time and date.
  • Voice Announcements are tailored to your requirements with flexible recording lengths.
  • Call answering services are a true announcement service.  Message recording capabilities are fully customizable to your business model.  (Callers can press "0" to speak to someone and leave a message if they are unavailable.  These calls are routed to managers cell phone during weekdays and the cinema during nights and weekends).
  • Enhanced Cinema Voice Announcement services with up to 20 simultaneous channels and primary and sub menu structures allow callers to get general information and specific information of interest via interactive phone key options.
  • U.S. long distance billed at less than 2 cents per minute(3).
  • Proposed annual cost savings across a small to mid-size chain can easily reach thousand to tens of thousands of dollars each year.
