Machines and Services are Backwards!
Background:
The rationale is simple, small
operations require low overhead and have a relatively low call
volume with the single subscribed line unused the majority of
the day. Office operations are limited due to the size of
this operation and are conducted from multiple locations
including home, cell phone and the cinema. An answering
machine or phone company voice mail system answers calls if no
one is available to pick up the phone.
Caveats When It's Slow:
- Callers hear
many rings before a machine finally answers
their call.
- Business
callers either have no ability to leave a
message for the office or often must listen
through an entire announcement of shows before
being able to do so.
- The machine is
filled with 'slow to hang-up terminations' which
must be reviewed and deleted. Too many of
these calls and legitimate business messages are
blocked due to a full machine.

Caveats When It's Busy:
- When it rains
it pours! Messages of any length result in
blockage and busy signals for other callers.
- Authorized
callers and managers are unable to get a "live"
person as ringers are turned off and staff
doesn't always have time to field the nature of
incoming calls.
